Why Was My Card Declined?

Modified on Sat, Feb 6, 2021 at 12:23 AM

Listed below are a current list of decline reasons. We explain what they mean and what you should do next. Please let us know if you have any further questions or issues completing your order.

Transaction Failed. 200-declined by authorization system

This means your bank has declined the transaction. The most likely reason is that this transaction is processed through a bank in England. Your bank has flagged the transaction as suspicious and would like to verify the transaction before allowing you to make the purchase. If you call your bank and let them know that it is in fact you making purchase, they will allow a new transaction to be accepted. You will need to make a new payment attempt as once a transaction is declined, your bank can't just push it through.

After talking to your bank you will need to go into your account dashboard to the “Orders” tab. There you will find your transaction listed on top. Click the green “Pay” button on the far-right side. This will take you to a screen where you will be able to choose your payment method and finish paying for your order. Please do not submit multiple transactions if declined without talking to your bank. Multiple decline attempts will result in a 24 hour block from that payment message. Please use another payment option if you have two declines.

Transaction Failed. 253-account or user is blacklisted (fraudulent transaction)

If your transaction gets originally declined with the decline reason “declined by authorization system” (which is the bank declining the transaction) and then attempts multiple times after the initial attempt, you will be blacklisted from this payment option for 24 hours and the decline reason will change to “account or user is blacklisted (fraudulent transaction)”. You should contact your bank and have any restrictions lifted that may be in place and try again after 24 hours.

If after 24 hours pass and the same reason appears after the customer did everything they needed to do on their end, then you must use a different card or payment option to complete your purchase.
